Big I Illinois offers three self-study options to help you receive CE credits on your own time, and also receiving a refresher on terms and current laws.

Perfect for agency personnel that sell any property and casualty lines of business, whether personal or commercial. The 12-hour book provides a high-level overview of all of the property and casualty coverages, such as all personal lines (home and auto), and most commercial lines (CGL, workers’ comp, business auto, commercial property, equipment breakdown, BOP, commercial property, EPLI, and more). Additionally, the book covers concepts of Illinois the laws pertaining to property and casualty insurance policies. You will be able to understand the various coverages and how those coverages apply to your clients.
To receive CE credit, you must take a 65-question exam and score 70% or better to qualify for 12 hours of continuing education. Your book can be used for the untimed exam.
Perfect for agency personnel who sell a little bit of life insurance, annuities, or any group products, and may occasionally help clients navigate health insurance through an insurer or federal or state marketplace. The 9-hour book provides a high-level overview of life, accident, and health coverages such as all life insurance (individual and group), annuities, federal programs, all accident and health coverages such as disability (individual and group), health plans (individual and group); long term care, social security, and Medicare Supplements. Additionally, the book covers concepts of Illinois laws pertaining to life, accident, and health insurance policies. You will be able to understand the various coverages and how those coverages apply to your clients.
To receive CE credit, you must take a 50-question exam and score 70% or better to qualify for 9 hours of continuing education. Your book can be used for the untimed exam.
This option combines the Property & Casualty and Life & Health books described above. Two exams are still required. This option includes one three-hour ethics course taken separately at no charge.
